The Makings of Me author Felicia Harris was inspired to make the book after her husband Khayan Harris, Sr expressed wishing he had gathered more information about his mother Diane Harris, before her passing. The books symbol of puzzle pieces, symbolize putting all the pieces together of ones life experiences, family history, and beliefs to ascertain who we’ve turned out to be later in life.
